Van Caem Klerks Group buys and sells A-branded goods in a variety of different categories, namely: Liquor, Fragrance, and FMCG (Toiletries, Food and Professional Haircare). We are a service-oriented company with over 50 years of experience in the import and export industry. Our head office is in the heart of Amsterdam, with our international offices in USA, Malta, and Curacao. We have 3 of our own warehouses strategically placed near the Port of Rotterdam which helps us provide the best and most efficient service.

We are currently expanding our business and are therefore looking for a French-Speaking International Trader to our FMCG team.
Job description
As an International Trader, you are responsible for identifying and maintaining business opportunities in the French market. You are also responsible for increasing turnover through acquisition of suppliers and customers in these markets in accounts we have already established. Therefore it is essential that you are a keen business-relationship builder. You will analyze requests from different suppliers, and you will be responsible for sales negotiations. You will manage the financial and account information of suppliers and customers. Furthermore, you also manage the purchase and sales orders in collaboration with the colleagues from Trade support. This role also involves frequent travel.
The ideal candidate meets the following requirements:
- Fluent in English and French
- Bachelor degree in commercial/sales management or equivalent.
- A minimum of 1 year of experience in active sales or commercial roles.
- Able to establish long-term relationships.
- Strong interpersonal and social skills.
- Proactive, assertive, ambitious, and unafraid to make outbound calls.
- Able to collaborate effectively within a team and work independently when needed.
- Good presentation skills.
- Strong analytical skills and comfort with working with numbers.
- Willingness to travel internationally for up to 25% of your work time.
- In possession of a “B” category driver’s license.
- Living in the Netherlands ideally in the Amsterdam area.
